Club Objectives

The objects of the Society are:

(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.

(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.

(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.

(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.

(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.

(f) To strengthen connections and peer support among Food Science students across different year levels and research areas.

(g)To create opportunities for students to engage with food industry professionals, Curtin alumni and academics through networking, guest speakers and industry visits.

(h) To support career development through workshops, mentoring, professional profile development, industry networking and exposure to employment and internship opportunities.

(i) To encourage peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing in areas such as laboratory skills, academic development and practical Food Science applications.

(j) To provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge to real-world food industry challenges and develop communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

(k) To build an inclusive and welcoming community that celebrates the diversity of food, culture and science and encourages active student participation.
